The Transparency Index
CTO is the most transparent role, roughly twice the CFO rate. A provider offering more than one role appears once per role, so the role samples overlap.
| Role | Publishes a price | Publishing / in sample |
|---|---|---|
| CTO | 24.3% | 35 / 144 |
| CMO | 19.4% | 31 / 160 |
| COO | 16.1% | 23 / 143 |
| Multi-function | 15.8% | 9 / 57 |
| CPO | 13.5% | 14 / 104 |
| CFO | 12.5% | 19 / 152 |
| All providers | at least 17.5% | 129 / 736 |
Role samples overlap: a provider offering two roles is counted in both. The all-provider figure is by provider, not by row.
The Price Band
Confirmed USD monthly tiers run from $299 to $50,000. Half of the published floors fall between $2,500 and $8,000, and that is the band drawn below.
Interquartile range of published USD monthly floors. The full confirmed range runs $299–$50,000 across 122 tiers from 61 providers, and is not drawn: a linear axis to $50,000 would crush the quartiles.
| Measure | Monthly (USD) |
|---|---|
| Lowest confirmed tier | $299 |
| First quartile of floors | $2,500 |
| Median floor | $5,000 |
| Third quartile of floors | $8,000 |
| Highest confirmed tier | $50,000 |
| Providers with a published USD monthly price | 61 · 122 tiers |
Other currencies, monthly median: GBP £4,000 (23 tiers, 12 providers) · EUR €5,450 (12 tiers, 7 providers).
